Toronto, Ontario -- May 21, 2004 - Titanium Corporation Inc. (the "Corporation") [TSXV: TIC] today announced the engagement of two process Plant Operators for the Regina Pilot Plant scheduled to open May 26, 2004.
Niel Erasmus, Vice-President Production Technology, was responsible for the recruitment of these individuals.
Michael Yakimchuk has been employed as a Plant Operator/Metallurgist-intraining. Michael has a Bachelor of Applied Science from the University of
Toronto and has been working as a Junior Metallurgical Engineer for Canspec Group Inc. in Calgary. He wrote his "thesis" on the Precipitation of Base Metals from a Synthetic Acid Leach Solution. He has also worked as a Laboratory Assistant for Hatch Associates. Michael is a member of the Canadian Institute of Mining Metallurgy and Petroleum and of the American Society of Materials.
Jacques Doiron has been employed as a Plant Operator. Jacques is a Process Operator Technician qualified by the Saskatchewan Institute of Applied Science and Technology and is a 4th class Power Engineer.
"These two individuals will complete Titanium's technological team for the operation of our Pilot Plant," says Niel Erasmus. "Working under the direction of myself and Francis Chachula we expect this team to be capable of providing the necessary technical expertise to successfully operate our Pilot Plant."
The Pilot Plant having a full compliment of technical staff, Doug Miller has resigned as Vice-President. "Doug's contribution to the supervising, ordering and delivery of mineral processing equipment from Australia, the United Kingdom and the United States has been invaluable in bringing our Pilot Plant on line," says George Elliott, Chairman a nd CEO of Titanium Corporation.
